CHOKIN AROUND

So, I could touch on a number of elements from this look. But it's obvious from my very very witty title that, the revival of the choker is my topic of the day. I'm here to remind you that almost any necklace in your personal collection can be EASILY crafted into a choker. This metallic one, for example, has a standard 16" chain. All I did was close the clasp onto a portion of the necklace further past the actual closure ring to create a fitted result. You can also make your own in a pinch using any craft store ribbon and double sided tape, velcro tape or hell- even use a safety pin! Don't over think it and more importantly, DON'T overpay for a tiny and possibly fleeting trend of a thing. Another final tip: find your CORRECT choker proportion. Try on thicker ones and thinner ones. You should be able to tell right away if one option is better than the other. For example, the skinny chokers magically make my face and cheeks look fuller. This is not good for me so I keep with the thicker ones.
